keep changing...

Much has come, and keeps coming, out of this pandemic we are trying to see ourselves through. Terrible, awful things, but also lovely, joyous things. As a lifelong fan of advice columns (Dear Abby was always my first stop in our daily paper growing up, followed by Dear Sugar when I discovered Cheryl Strayed), and one of the beautiful things created early on in COVID times was a new podcast: Sugar Calling. Rather than seeking advice, Strayed sets aside advice-giving in favor of wisdom-seeking and turning to the writers who have long inspired her for courage and insight.
This particular quote comes from a conversation with the author George Saunders, and has become a bit of a mantra inside my head (particularly as a person who is a nervous nelly when it comes to change.)
