Värmland, Februari

This quilt captures the blanket of grey skies over Värmland in February, and how that grayness allows great pops of falu red barns and their seafoam roofs to dot the countryside. Cotton and linen fabrics are machine pieced and the blanket is quilted and bound entirely by hand, backed in solid grey, of course. 2 areas feature embroidered text (see photos). While it is always my hope that my quilts will be used (for generations!), it is also possible to hang for display. Measures 84" x 92"
